Classification and Functional Introduction of Busbar Processing Machines

Release time:2026-05-22     Visits:15

Modern busbar processing machines have achieved great upgrades compared with early models. With technological advancement, such equipment features higher automation and diversified types.

1. Classification by Electrical Control Mode

1. Ordinary Busbar Processing Machine

It bends busbars of varying thicknesses. The travel distance is controlled by adjusting limit sensors of hydraulic cylinders. Corresponding bending angles can be achieved by aligning the indicator with scale marks.

2. CNC Busbar Processing Machine

The bending station adopts CNC control with data storage function, which also governs punching and shearing actions.

a. Input processing parameters corresponding to busbar thickness and bending angles into the system, and recall stored data for bending production as required.

b. On-site processing data can be saved into the system anytime for repeated use.

c. Equipped with password-protected color touch screen. Operators can revise improper parameters and set customized values for non-standard workpieces, delivering convenient operation.

2. Classification by Number of Hydraulic Pump Units

Single pump: Punching, shearing and bending stations operate sequentially.

Double pumps: One pump serves punching and shearing units, and the other supplies power for bending. Punching or shearing can run simultaneously with bending.

Triple pumps: Three pumps drive three independent stations respectively, enabling synchronous operation of all working units.

To maximize working performance, operators shall master all machine functions and follow standard operating specifications.

Main Functions

Bending Function

Dies are arranged vertically. The upper die is fixed on the sliding block and the lower die on the workbench. The sliding block drives the upper die downward to finish workpiece bending.

Punching Function

Matching die holders and dies are selected to punch holes on copper and steel bars. Hole size and shape including round, square, rectangular, oval and special-shaped holes are determined by punches and lower dies. Vertical position is adjusted via positioning supports, while horizontal position is located by digital or manual back gauges.

Shearing Function

Special cutting dies are used to shear copper, aluminum and steel busbars.

Flat Bending Function

Dedicated dies realize 90-degree flat bending for copper and steel bars. Standard dies have an inner bending radius of 50mm. Gaskets can be replaced to adapt to different plate thicknesses. It fits small bars of 4×40mm.

Pipe Bending Function

Special dies bend standard gas pipes. Double-block bending dies process pipes up to 2 inches, and rotary bending dies suit pipes up to 1.5 inches. Rotary dies feature simpler operation.

U-shaped Bending Function

Special dies make 180-degree U-shaped bends on copper bars, steel bars and solid rods.

Section Straightening Function

Professional dies are applied to straighten sectional steel.

Custom Processing

Users can customize dies to meet special machining demands.

Busbar processing machines are equipped with abundant practical functions to satisfy diverse production requirements.
